TRUE STORIES

Behind this blog, there is Giorgia, mom to a wonderful now 3-year-old, a wife, a professional, and always a learner. A mom who struggled with (a late diagnosed) postpartum depression, with old little big traumas coming to the surface again asking to be healed and new little big emotions to manage for the first time. She would like new parents to have a space where they can feel supported and know that they are not alone in this amazing, enriching, and very challenging journey: the first steps into parenthood. In this blog you'll find true stories from parents from all over the world - told mostly anonymously. Why anonymously? Because many new parents need to be able to express what they are experiencing without invading the privacy of their spouses, children, parents, friends, and all the other people around them. Therefore, anonymizing in this context means making the written word more free and real. There are so many taboos about the process called "becoming a parent" that this seems to be a possible first step to breaking them, but by remaining respectful of everyone. Write to me, if you too feel like posting your story.
